A group of members affiliated with the Junior Korean Association in LA visited Daesoonjinrihoe Social Welfare Foundation on July 1. Headed by Vice President Lim Yeong-Bae, about 50 people in the party were guided to Yeoju Dojang and Daesoonjinrihoe Social Welfare Foundation to take part in the welcome ceremony held at Youth Center followed by a tour of the facilities such as the nursing home and the geriatric hospital.

In his welcome speech, Seongam Yun, the president of the Foundation, asked the visitors to learn as much as possible in the journey and to pass on the breathtaking progress of Korea to the world. Vice President Lim reciprocated his speech, on behalf of the association, and delivered the appreciation plaque expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the complete support of their visit to Korea.

The members of the association enjoyed the dinner party hosted by the foundation and rode a bicycle along the Gangcheon Barrage making precious memories. They were accommodated in the most modern facilities for 4 days having the breakfast full of dedication and went back to US on July 4.

The LA Junior Korean Association was founded by LA Korean Association headed by Pres. Bae Mu-Han last November. Their first visit to Korea was planned in hopes of establishing Korean identity and giving pride as Korean. The party arrived in Korea on June 26 and stayed for 8 nights and 9 days visiting Cheongwadae, the National Assembly, Samsung Electronics, the Joint Security Area of Panmunjeom and KBS. For entertaining experiences, they also had some military training at the Marine Corps and traditional archery experience.
