On July 1st, Im Yeongmun, former head of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park, became the 9th president of Daejin University. In his inaugural address, the newly-appointed president, Im, emphasized “Our next step will be continued expansion of our university’s development funds, attracting more investment in our medical school, restructuring our departments to be more future-oriented, the activation of cooperative projects between academia and industry, and a more unified faculty.”

 After receiving his Bachelors and Masters of Sciences from Yonsei University, Im Yeongmun received a Ph.D. in engineering from Texas State University. Since then, Im has served as a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Gangneung-Wonju National University, as the Director of Information and Computer Engineering, and as the Director of the Industrial Cooperation Division. In 2014, he was appointed president of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park.
