The Academic Affairs Dept. and Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture took an important role in the International Conference hosted by the East Asian Religion and Culture Academic Association at International Hall in Dong-Eui University, Busan from Aug. 1 to 4. About 300 scholars from Korea, China and Japan who have expertise in the field of history, ethnic studies and sociology discussed the topic of 'Commonality and Diversity of the East Asian Religions and Culture.' 

Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture made a presentation titled 'the Institution of the Origins of Korean New Religions' and 'Characteristics and Significance of the Sacred Place in Daesoonjinrihoe, moderated by two officials from the Academic Affairs Dept.  Meanwhile, Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture is also anticipated to present a thesis on Daesoonjinrihoe and introduce it at the international conference scheduled for next year in Japan.
