Seventy participants of the 22nd World Miss University" held in Korea in 2008 came to Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex on the 15th of July. They were guided to the dojang, followed by a luncheon in Sinchuk Hall. The pageant contestants were deeply affected by a splendid Korean-style dojang. 

Meanwhile, these young ladies will stay in a training camp from July 15 to 21 and then on the 22th go into the finals. Among the contestants the top three runner-ups will be anticipated for the world beauty pageant scheduled in November.

The World Miss University Beauty Pageant was founded in commemoration of the Year of World Peace implemented by the United Nations in 1986. The prize-winners were appointed to the post of the student delegation for Peace Corp and were expected to volunteer in a variety of fields including relief activities for the refugees, services for the physically-challenged, the elimination of disease and the environmental protection.
