On October 30th, the ‘2021 Daoism and Traditional Culture’ international academic conference was held online. The conference was co-hosted by Daesoon Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Daoism and Traditional Culture, Xiamen University, China. This academic conference was the first international academic conference held by Daesoon Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Daoism and Traditional Culture of Xiamen University in China since the 9th of October, when the two entities entered into an academic exchange agreement.

The academic conference consisted of presentations and discussions by 8 individuals including professors and doctoral students from Korea, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. They were joined by about 60 audience members who participated online to exchange in in-depth discussions on Daesoon Thought and traditional Chinese Daoist culture. One presentation related to Daesoon Thought made on that day was “The Concept of Healing in Daesoon Jinrihoe” presented by Professor Chung Yun-Ying of Yuan Ze University, Taiwan.
