Daejin University Selected for '2026 Youth Leap Talent Fostering Bootcamp' Sponsored by Ministry of Education and KIAT, Securing 700 Million KRW in Government Funding

Daejin University was selected as an operating university for the "2026 Youth Leap Talent Fostering Bootcamp (hereinafter referred to as Bootcamp)," hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), securing 700 million KRW in government funding. The Bootcamp is a government-supported project that provides short-term intensive education and social advancement support to young adults outside the workforce through university-industry collaboration. The selected universities will focus on fostering practical talent based on "AI (Artificial Intelligence) and AX (AI Transformation)" for one year and six months. Daejin University plans to nurture practical talent through AX-based practical education, projects, field training, and employment linkage.

The Bootcamp project offers two tracks: the "Advanced Talent Type" and the "Practical Talent Type." Daejin University belongs to the Practical Talent Type, supporting Daejin University graduates and discharged non-commissioned officers from local military units. Additionally, the project includes the construction of an advanced smart practice facility worth approximately 200 million KRW. The practice facility will not only be utilized for Bootcamp operations but also serve as an AI and AX education infrastructure for current students in the future, providing a foundation to enhance the university's educational competitiveness. As such, the selection for this project is expected to serve as an opportunity to advance Daejin University's future educational environment to the next level.

In particular, considering that only four universities in the metropolitan area were selected for this project, Daejin University's selection as an operating university can be evaluated as a meaningful achievement beyond a simple project award, demonstrating external recognition of its educational competitiveness and project execution capabilities. Furthermore, when selecting operating universities for university financial support projects, the government comprehensively evaluates educational capabilities, project execution abilities, and operational experience. Therefore, operational performance in financial support projects serves as an important indicator proving a university's educational competitiveness and administrative capacity, and its significance becomes even greater as it can be recognized as a positive experience when participating in other government financial support projects in the future.

Ryu Dong-woo, Dean of Planning and Director of the Bootcamp project, stated, "Through this project, we plan to recruit 150 trainees and do our utmost with the goal of 100% employment for all of them." He added, "It is not an easy goal, but it reflects Daejin University's strong commitment and sense of responsibility." He further presented Daejin University's future vision by saying, "Starting with this Bootcamp project, we will realize 'Daejin University, Opening the Future with AI and Adding Value Through Mutual Beneficence (Sangsaeng).'" In an era where AI technology drives innovation across industries, this project is expected to serve as an opportunity for Daejin University to take another step forward as an educational institution that fosters practical talent required by future society.
