On July 8, Daesoon Academy of Sciences at Daejin University donated 10 million KRW in scholarship funds to the Jeongeup Citizen Scholarship Foundation at Jeongeup City Hall. The Academy has consistently highlighted the region's spiritual and cultural heritage, such as holding a copper plaque unveiling ceremony last year to commemorate the designation of the birthplace of Jeungsan Sangjenim as a religious cultural heritage of Jeonbuk State. This donation expands that academic and cultural interest into practical action by fostering local talent, reflecting the Academy's intent to grow alongside the local community.

Bae Gyu-han, Director of the Academy, expressed his hope that this scholarship, as a practice of Haewon Sangsaeng (resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence), would serve as a small contribution to helping young talents in Jeongeup focus on their studies and pursue their dreams without financial burden.

The Jeongeup Citizen Scholarship Foundation expressed deep gratitude for the Academy's sincerity through a certificate of donation, stating that the funds would be used preciously to foster talent for the development of the Jeongeup region.
