Bundang Jesaeng Hospital (Hospital Director Son Jeong-hwan) became the first in southern Gyeonggi Province to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital diagnostic testing system, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of blood cell analysis. The newly introduced system is a digital morphology analysis system that ultra-fast scans blood slides and automatically classifies cell images, such as white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets, in a one-stop process using AI algorithms. The improvement in reading speed and the provision of standardized slides have reduced reading errors, contributing to enhanced accuracy in morphological cell diagnosis.

Lee Seong-gyu, Chief of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, stated, "AI technology plays a role in assisting medical staff to support more accurate and consistent readings. We will continue to expand our advanced digital infrastructure in the future to provide patients with reliable testing and contribute to improving the quality of medical care."
