On December 19, 2025, Daejin University invited delegates from Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos representing the Mekong–ROK Cooperation framework to hold business discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation in river conservation and water resources management.

The event was attended by officials representing the Mekong River Basin nations, including Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Deputy Director General of the Department of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, alongside educational representatives from Can Tho University, Vietnam.

Both sides exchanged views on key areas, including: △Measures for river conservation and water resources management △Water management issues in the Imjin River and Mekong River basins △Potential joint projects between Daejin University and Mekong–ROK cooperation institutions.

The Mekong–ROK delegation expressed strong interest in sharing educational and research experiences in water resources and environmental sectors.

Daejin University aims to enhance its international cooperation, strengthening its position as an educational and research hub connecting Northeast Asia and the Mekong region.
