On June 13 (Lunar April 28) at 1:00 AM, the Devotional Offering for the Anniversary of the Great Jade Emperor’s Receiving the Mandate to Serve Heaven (Bongcheonmyeong) was solemnly performed with over 5,100 Dao practitioners in attendance.

On April 28, 1909 (Giyu Year), at the age of 15, Daojo-nim left his homeland with his father for Fengtian, Manchuria, a foreign land. Embracing the noble purpose of saving the world and its people (Guse Jemin), he devoted himself to mountain cultivation. Following nine years of spiritual cultivation, in 1917 (Jeongsa Year), he reached spiritual realization and gained enlightenment regarding Sangje-nim’s Truth of the Great Iteration of the Three Realms (Samgye Daesun). Yeoju Headquarters Temple performs this sacred ceremony every year to commemorate the day when Daojo-nim, who established the divinely conferred orthodox lineage (Jongtong) upon receiving a divine revelation from Gucheon Sangje-nim, received the Heavenly Mandate.
