- 2026-05-28
Daejin High School Principal Huh Eui-sun, School Steering Committee Chairwoman Oh Jeong-hee, and Ongachi Social Cooperative Representative Jeong Jeong-suk visited the Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation on May 6th, delivering 200 handmade carnations alongside 200 canned fruits made by students.
Meanwhile, Daejin Electronics & Communication High School held the 'Feet Washing Ceremony of Love to Honor Parents' hosted by the Parents' Association on May 16th in celebration of Family Month. Students read letters of gratitude to their parents, presented carnations, and personally washed their parents' feet. A mother of a first-year student expressed with tearful eyes, "I created a precious memory that I will never forget for the rest of my life, and I am so grateful to my son."
On the same day, Bundang Daejin High School (Principal Lee Chung-hwan) conducted "Together in Filial Piety (Hamkkehae-hyo)," a filial piety practice and mutual beneficence character development program. Held for the second time following last year, this program was a plogging event where students, parents, and faculty members walked through Yuldong Park near the school while picking up litter. A student shared their aspiration, saying, "Through this opportunity, I was able to feel the preciousness of family and think I can focus more on my studies."
The high schools under the educational foundation created a venue for cultivating students' character through these filial piety events.
