At the "2026 11th National University Student CM (Construction Management & Development Project Planning) & Construction Competition," held at Pukyong National University from August 11 to 12, three students from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Daejin University won the Innovation Award. The students participated under the guidance of Professor Yu Mu-young of the Department of Architectural Engineering. As a construction-related competition for university students nationwide, this year's event was the largest in its history, with 101 teams participating from 41 universities across the country. The competition challenges prospective construction professionals to showcase their practical competencies and creative ideas required in actual fields, spanning everything from construction project planning to construction management and execution.
Having won the award with their project themed "GALAXIUM: A K-Culture Arena Completed by Gathering Brilliant Moments," the students shared their thoughts: "We were able to learn a great deal by viewing the growth potential of K-Culture from the perspective of construction and development projects, and by contemplating the process of implementing it into an actual business. Building on this award, we will further develop our capabilities to create new values in the fields of construction management, urban planning, and architecture."
