On November 7, or September 19 in lunar calendar, thousands of disciples came to Yeoju headquarters temple complex to attend Guchen Sangje's Descenscion Chiseong, which is one of the biggest Chiseongs in Daesoon Jinrihoe. It is held to celebrate the day when Supreme God or Sangje of the Ninth Heaven descended into human world as a human being named Jeungsan Kang in Jeolla-do, Korea in 1871 to reoder the whole universe and open an Earthly Paradise where the ideas of Haewon and Boeun Sangsaeng(resolution of grievances and grateful reciprocation of favors for mutual beneficence) are realized.

The day also coincided with the seasonal Chiseong to celebrate of the beginning of winter.
