On March 31, 2018, Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park opened the “Bright Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Academy” in Nepal, which will support education and oversea employment for young workers in Nepal. This is an international cooperative project that is jointly carried forward by Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park and Bright Future Secondary School of Nepal. The academy will provide students with specialized education in the field of Information Technology (IT) and support them in finding job placement in IT businesses overseas in countries such as Korea and Japan. In addition, taking this project as the first step, the Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park plans to implement a variety of further international collaborative projects in Nepal.
The director of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park, Yim Yeong Mun, said “We were asked by Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun and the former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar of Nepal that Daejin Techno Park take charge of the operation of the academy and also play a key role in businesses related to furniture and the environment.” Gyeonggi Daejin Techo Park is a local public institution that was funded through a joint investment between Gyeonggi-do and Pochen-si and was established in 2005 to promote knowledge-based high-tech businesses in Northern Gyeonggi Province.
