The Supreme God of the Ninth Heaven (Gucheon Sangje)
Kang Jeungsan (1871–1909)
Upon the plea and petition of the great deities of Heaven and Earth,
The Supreme God of the Ninth Heaven Kang Jeungsan descended to the Tower of Heavenly Revelation (CheonGye-tap)
in the Kingdom of the Great Law (Daebeopguk) in the West.
Embarking on the Great Itineration (Daesoon) across the Three Realms to examine their state,
He finally reached the land in the East (Korea).
Spiritually entered the Golden-hued Icon of Maitreya at the Geumsan-sa Temple of the Mount Moaksan,
He stayed there for thirty years.
Subsequently, the Supreme God bestowed upon Choi Suwun (Choi Je-U) the heavenly mandate,
along with divine teachings and power, empowering him to establish the Great Dao.
However, in 1864, the Supreme God withdrew the mandate, divine teachings, and power.
Then, in 1871, He ultimately decided to personally descend into the human world.
1871
On September 19, 1871 (lunar),
He was born as a human being in the Kang family in North Jeolla Province.
1897
From the year 1897 onward,
He travelled around the entire country for three years with the great intention
to save the whole world through rectification.
1901
On May 16, 1901 (lunar),
Sangje commenced a 49-day Holy Work without food or rest at Daewon-sa Temple on Mount Moak in Jeonju County.
On the 49th day, Sangje opened the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth to secure the limitless Earthly Paradise of the Later World,
simultaneously exercising judgment upon the great deities of Heaven and Earth in charge of the Former World.
Between 1901 to 1909,
He carried out ‘Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth based on the Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence.
1909
On June 24, 1909 (lunar),
Having completed this Nine-Year Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth, the Supreme God passed into Heaven.
The Lord of the Dao (Doju)
Jo Jeongsan (1895–1958)
1895
On December 4, 1895 (lunar),
Jo Jeongsan, also known as Doju was born in Gyeongsang Province.
1909
In April 1909 (lunar),
at the age of 15, Doju left Korea to live in exile in Bongcheon, Manchuria, China.
Alongside his father and uncle, he dedicated himself to the Korean independence movement.
Later, he pursued solitary spiritual cultivation in the mountains,
seeking a way to liberate his country and contribute to global salvation.
1917
On February 10, 1917 (lunar),
at the age of 23, he became a successor in the Orthodox Religious Lineage by realizing
the Truth of Sangje’s Great Itineration (Daesoon Truth) and attaining the Dao.
In April 1917 (lunar),
after nine years of exile, he returned to Korea with the mission to save the nation and its people through the revelation.
1925
In April 1925 (lunar),
he established the religious body ‘Mugeukdo’ in Taein, Jeolla Province.
1941
In 1941, due to the Japanese colonial government’s Religion Dissolution Act,
he temporarily halted formal religious activities, continuing his Holy Works while traveling throughout the country.
With Japan’s defeat in World War II in 1945, Doju resumed his religious activities.
1948
In 1948, he reestablished the Dao headquarters of Mugeukdo in Busan,
South Gyeongsang Province and reformed the organization.
1950
In 1950, he changed the name of the order from Mugeukdo to Taegeukdo.
1957
In November 1957 (lunar),
he formulated cultivation methods, ceremonial procedures, and other regulations.
1958
In March 1958 (lunar),
he reformed the religious order and reassigned his executive members.
On March 6, 1958 (lunar), at the age of 64,
he bestowed the Orthodox Religious Authority upon the Leader of Principle with his last words before passed into heaven.

Park Wudang (1917–1996)
1917
On November 30, 1917 (lunar), Dojeon Park Wudang was born at Goesan, Chungcheong Province.
1958
On March 6, 1958, he received the Religious Orthodoxy from Doju as he spoke his final words.
1969
In April 1969, he made sweeping organizational changes and established a religious order called ‘Daesoon Jinrihoe.’
In June 1969, Junggok Temple Complex was built.
1972
In 1972, he systematically initiated Three Major Works (Charity Aid, Social Welfare, and Education),
all of which have been continually developed each year since.
1976
In 1976, the Daesoon Scholarship Foundation was launched.
1984
In February 1984, Educational Foundation of Daejin Academy was established.
In June 1984, Daejin High school was established.
1986
In 1986, Yeoju Temple Complex was built.
1987
In December 1987, the Foundation of Daesoon Jinrihoe was established.
1989
In 1989, Jeju Training Temple was built.
1992
In March 1992, Daejin University was opened.
In June 1992, Pocheon Cultivation Temple Complex was built.
In December 1992, Daejin Medical Foundation was established.
1993
In February 1993, the headquarters was relocated from Junggok Temple Complex to Yeoju Temple Complex.
1994
In March 1994, Bundang Daejin High school was opened.
1996
In 1996, Geumgangsan Toseong Training Temple Complex was built.
On January 23rd, 1996, Dojeon passed into Heaven.
In March 1996, Busan Daejin Electronics and Telecommunications High School was opened.
1998
In August 1998, Bundang Jesaeng General Hospital was opened.
2006
In 2005, Daejin University launched a program known as DUCC(Daejin University China Campus) in four chinese universties
including Harbin Normal University and Suzhou Universtiy for students to study abroad in China.
2009
In October 2009, Daejin Nursing Hospital, Daejin Nursing Facilities,
and Daejin Elderly Welfare Center were opened.
2013
In March 2013, Daejin Youth Training Center was opened.
In September 2013, Daejin International Volunteers Association was launched.
