Propagation:
Spreading the Blessings and Grace of Sangje
“In our Dao, the work of guiding people to participate in the future paradisiacal land of immortals is referred to as ‘podeok (propagation).’”
“Propagation refers to the act of widely transmitting the Nine-Year Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth, which Sangje carried out to rectify the world and bring salvation to all beings. Through this, people are enabled to receive the blessing of life in an earthly paradise.”
Propagation involves widely sharing Sangje’s blessings and grace with the world. Based on the Jeon-gyeong (Canonical Scripture), we disseminate the Great Truth revealed by Sangje to rectify the entire world and enable everyone to participate in the future paradisiacal era. In other words, it involves properly spreading the principles of the Great Dao, the Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence, and Grateful Reciprocation for Mutual Beneficence, to realize the ethics and morality of the constant Dao.
Dojeon stated that all efforts to cultivate the mind and receive one's destined fortune begin with propagation, saying, “Only when the truth revealed by Sangje spreads throughout the world can all beings be brought to salvation.” Our cultivation starts with propagation, and for this, we must meet and interact with various people, gaining experience through these interactions. The pain and patience encountered during this process serve as crucial opportunities to refine our nature. Simply reciting mantras and refining the mind alone cannot fulfill our wishes. Rather, through propagation, we refine and transform ourselves, allowing us to receive our destined fortune and achieve all aspirations.
Edification:
Teaching Daesoon Truth to Nurture True Dao cultivators
“Edification means explaining the fundamental doctrine in a way that is easy for others to understand,
helping them develop a firm belief in the truth.”
“In Edification, it is essential to illuminate the oneness of Heavenly Principle and Human Affairs, so that others may firmly believe in the truth that all things in the universe are created and exist within the Dao.”
Edification is the process of teaching and guiding individuals to become true practitioners of the Dao by helping them understand and internalize Daesoon Truth, as taught in the Jeon-gyeong (Canonical Scripture). Its purpose is to make the doctrine accessible, deepen faith, and inspire a profound realization of the Dao that naturally manifests in daily life.
At its core, edification involves leading individuals to awaken to the truth, integrate it into their hearts and minds, and practice it effortlessly. It also emphasizes a correct understanding of Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence, encouraging individuals to embody this principle while faithfully upholding the laws of the Dao. Through this process, both the one who edifies and the one being edified advance toward the realm of truth, spiritual enlightenment in the Dao.
Dojeon stressed that the essence of edification lies in enabling practitioners to receive blessings of fortune and achieve enlightenment in the Dao. To fulfill this mission, edification must guide individuals with clarity and purpose, ensuring they fully comprehend Daesoon Truth and the principles of the Dao, empowering them to apply these teachings in their lives.
Cultivation: Practicing Daesoon Truth to
Achieve the Perfected State of Unification with the Dao
“Refine with your mind and act with your body so that the mind and body become unified in cultivation.”
“Based on Daesoon Truth, you should cultivate your mind, practice virtue, and align your heart with righteousness. In doing so, you must eliminate the desire for fame and recognition from your heart.”
Cultivation is the practice of reciting mantras with utmost sincerity while calming the mind and body, focusing the spirit in reverence to Sangje, and refining it in the dantian to achieve the ‘Absolute Spiritual Enlightenment’. Cultivation is divided into Holy Works, recitation training, daily prayers, and weekly prayers. It requires both mind cultivation and physical practice to ensure harmony and alignment between mind and body.
Cultivation is divided into Gongbu (Holy Works) and Suryeon (recitation training), Daily Prayer, and Weekly Prayer. Gongbu (Holy Works) Reciting incantations at a designated time and location in a prescribed manner.
