Charity Aid

“Extend compassion to those who are easily neglected and devote effort to relief
and charity work to instill the joy of rehabilitation.”

The Relief and Charity Work is the act of providing assistance to victims of disasters and helping the underprivileged. Based on the teachings of Dojeon, who instructed, "Extend compassion to those who are easily neglected and devote effort to relief and charity work to instill the joy of rehabilitation," Daesoon Jinrihoe has been carrying out various relief and charity activities since its establishment.

Since the formation of the Daesoon Youth Association and Women's Association in 1980, we have consistently carried out activities such as helping the underprivileged, supporting physically disabled individuals, assisting children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and providing coal support to low-income families. We have also actively participated in relief efforts for disaster victims caused by typhoons, floods, and other natural disasters every year. In 2009, overseas relief activities, including well-digging and distributing relief supplies, were conducted in Kenya and Ethiopia.

In 2013, the Daesoon International Volunteer Association (DIVA) was established. Since then, domestic activities have included delivering meals to elderly people living alone, performing home repairs such as wallpaper and floor replacement, providing heating oil and medical supplies to disadvantaged groups, and assisting with disaster recovery efforts. Internationally, the association has expanded its activities to include donating essential items to nursing homes, orphanages, and childcare centers in countries such as Mongolia and Vietnam, as well as organizing volunteer services for building homes for families with disabled members.

Social Welfare

“To live peacefully is a grace from the nation and society;
therefore, with a belief in repaying this grace, dedicate yourself
with loyal service for the development of society and the common welfare,
fulfilling your duties as a citizen.”

Daesoon Jinrihoe has been carrying out Social Welfare Works based on the teachings of the Dojeon. Social Welfare Work is the practice of spiritual cultivation aimed at promoting the betterment of others, based on the principles of ‘Mutual Beneficence through the Resolution of Grievances and Grateful Reciprocation of Favors,’ as revealed by Sangje.

To this end, we contributes annually to the common welfare of the people and the development of society in the fields of welfare and medicine through the Women's Association, Youth Association, Daesoon International Volunteer Association, Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation, and affiliated general hospitals.

In the medical field, Bundang Jesaeng General Hospital is currently in operation. Additionally, Goseong Jesaeng Hospital and Dongducheon Jesaeng Hospital are currently under construction. Furthermore, elderly medical welfare works are being promoted through Daejin Nursing Hospital and Daejin Nursing Facilities.

In the welfare field, we operates the Daejin Youth Training Center and the Daejin Elderly Welfare Center to realize a society where various groups, including children, adolescents, and the elderly, live together happily.

Education

“Aiming to cultivate true individuals through holistic education,
we have to commit to nurture talents that align with the needs of the times.”

Following the teachings of Dojeon, Daesoon Jinrihoe has gradually expanded its educational works since its early days by establishing a school corporation and a scholarship foundation under its umbrella.

In 1976, the Daesoon Scholarship Foundation was established. It provides scholarships twice a year to high school and university students under the Order, focusing on those from low-income families and those with outstanding academic performance.

The school corporation was established in 1984 and currently oversees Daejin University, a comprehensive university spanning 600,000 pyeong, along with six high schools: Daejin High School, Daejin Girls' High School, Bundang Daejin High School, Daejin Design High School, Ilsan Daejin High School, and Daejin Electronics and Telecommunications High School. Additionally, in 2006, it became the first university in Korea to establish campuses in Harbin and Suzhou, China, focusing on nurturing global talent.

By practicing Daesoon Jinrihoe's ideology of mutual beneficence, which aims to promote the betterment of others, the Order contributes to the development of the nation and human society.
