- The President of Daejin University, Leem Youngmoon, Received “NBN's 2021 Innovative Person Award”
President Leem Youngmoon had the honor of receiving an award in the education sector at the “NBN's 2021 Innovative Person Awards.” This award ceremony was held in the annex of NBN News Agency on March 26th (Tuesday). The grand prizes at “NBN's 2021 Innovative Person Awards” commemorate and honor the hard work of social actors in various fields in Korea who contribute to regional and national economic development. This event was also held to celebrate the 9th anniversary of NBN's News Agency (domestic and international) and NBN Economic Current Affairs. President Young-Young Lim was awarded the grand prize in the education sector at the “2021 Innovative Person” for contributions such as his fostering outstanding talents who developed education in Korea and his diligent work developing an academic foundation in order to establish a medical school. On the day of the award ceremony, President Leem Youngmoon said, “Thank you for awarding me the grand prize for being an innovative person in the education sector. I will make every effort to establish a medical school that can contribute to our national medical policy makers.”

- The Mayor of Dongducheon Visited Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex
On April 2nd, the mayor of Dongducheon, Choe Yongdeok, visited Daesoon Jinrihoe's Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. The mayor and those accompanying him had a discussion with President Yoon Eun-Do after viewing the temple complex and welfare foundation. During their meeting, Mayor Choe remarked, “I am greatly impressed by Daesoon Jinrihoe 's various welfare projects.” He continued, "The entirety of the donations Daesoon Jinrihoe made to Dongducheon in 2020 will be used for child welfare.” President Yoon replied, "Whenever you need Daesoon Jinrihoe's help in a societal works that require welfare services, we are ready to go out and help in an active way."

- Daejin Saffron-Frontier Volunteer Group Held Their Launch Ceremony at Daejin Electronic Communication High School
On April 2nd, the launch ceremony of Daejin Saffron-Frontier Volunteer Group was held at Bitnuri Hall inside of Daejin Electronic Communication High School. Daejin Saffron-Frontier Volunteer Group, a volunteer organization for parents and students, was launched in 2004 and has been participating in a number of volunteer activities such as delivering briquettes and sharing festive kimchi with their underprivileged neighbors for the past 17 years. Baek Jong-Heon, a member of Parliament, attended the launch ceremony where he remarked, “I am proud of these parents and students who work hard for our community.” He continued, “I will continue to create opportunities where people can volunteer together.”

- 100% of Students in the Department of Nursing at Daejin University Have Passed the National Examination for 4 Consecutive Years
Ever since Daejin University's Department of Nursing produced its first graduates in 2018, 100% of all graduates have passed the National Nursing Examination for four consecutive years. All members of this year's graduating class have already secured employment at higher-level medical institutions and university hospitals. Students in the Department of Nursing were excited about the news of the groundbreaking ceremony of Daejin Medical Foundation's Dongducheon Jesaeng Hospital (1,480 beds).

- Daejin University Held a Signboard Hanging Ceremony for the Medical School Promotion Committee
On March 10, a signboard hanging ceremony for the Medical School Promotion Committee was held in the main building of Daejin University. The ceremony was attended by President Leem Youngmoon, directors, professors, student representatives, and alumni representatives. Through the opening of Daejin University Medical School and the future openings of Dongducheon Jesaeng Hospital and Goseong Jesaeng Hospital (both of which are currently being built), it will be possible to provide high-quality medical benefits to the 1.5 million residents and military units that live in the areas nearby.
