  • 100% of Students in the Department of Nursing at Daejin University Have Passed the National Examination for 4 Consecutive Years
    Ever since Daejin University's Department of Nursing produced its first graduates in 2018, 100% of all graduates have passed the National Nursing Examination for four consecutive years. All members of this year's graduating class have already secured employment at higher-level medical institutions and university hospitals. Students in the Department of Nursing were excited about the news of the groundbreaking ceremony of Daejin Medical Foundation's Dongducheon Jesaeng Hospital (1,480 beds).

  • Daejin University Held a Signboard Hanging Ceremony for the Medical School Promotion Committee
    On March 10, a signboard hanging ceremony for the Medical School Promotion Committee was held in the main building of Daejin University. The ceremony was attended by President Leem Youngmoon, directors, professors, student representatives, and alumni representatives. Through the opening of Daejin University Medical School and the future openings of Dongducheon Jesaeng Hospital and Goseong Jesaeng Hospital (both of which are currently being built), it will be possible to provide high-quality medical benefits to the 1.5 million residents and military units that live in the areas nearby.

  • Bundang Jesaeng Hospital and the COVID-19 Vaccination Program
    On February 23rd, Bundang Jesaeng Hospital was visited by Mayor Eun Soo-mi (of Seongnam) and the representatives of six medical institutions, representatives of three medical organizations, 6 representatives from the military, police, and firefighting organizations, and representatives of four private organizations. A business agreement was signed at the hospital that day. According to the agreement, nine medical institutions and organizations, including Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Bundang Cha Hospital, Jeong Hospital, Armed Forces Capital Hospital, Seongnam City Medical Center, Seongnam City Medical Association, Nursing Association, and Pharmacy Association will provide medical personnel in need of vaccination with the vaccine in Seongnam City.

  • The Degree Conferment Ceremony for the First Half of 2020 Was Held at Daejin University
    On February 18th, the Degree Conferment Ceremony for the first half of 2020 was held at Daejin University. 101 graduate students (93 masters & 8 doctors), 1,300 undergraduate students, and a total of 1,401 students received their degrees during the degree conferment ceremony. Due to COVID-19, a video of the president congratulating the graduates was posted on the website and a summary event was held which included opening remarks, the awarding of the certificates, and the congratulatory address from the president. This was done in place of the central event which is usually performed. President Leem Youngmoon conveyed his regret that the Degree Conferment Ceremony could not be held on campus due to COVID-19. While offering his congratulations and encouragement to the graduates, he remarked, “I hope you have the confidence to find and accomplish what you want to do.”

  • Film Major, Kim Jeong-yeon, from Daejin University's Theater and Cinema Department, Won 1st Prize in the Drama Category of Beijing International University’s Short Film Festival
    The short film ‘Apgureugi (Rolling Forward),’ directed by Kim Jeong-yeon, a film major from the Theater and Cinema Department at Daejin University, won the first prize in the drama category at the 9th Beijing International University Short Film Festival Awards Ceremony. The Beijing International College Student Short Film Festival is an influential short film festival in China, and the film ‘Apgureugi (Rolling Forward),’ is a coming-of-age story that centers around the process of change undergone by the protagonist, Yun-ju, as she overcomes a traumatic experience. The student, Kim Jeong-Yeon, gave a short statement wherein she reflected, “I am really happy and grateful that this film, which was completed thanks to the help of many, was recognized for an award. I will not lose my passion for filmmaking in the future.”
