- DAOS, National Chengchi University's Center for the Study of Chinese Religions Co-hosted an International Academic Forum on ‘New Religions in East Asia: Development and Internationalization’
On December 11th 2020, the 'New Religions in East Asia: Development and Internationalization' international academic forum was co-hosted by Daesoon Academy of Sciences (DAOS) and the Institute of Chinese Religions at National Chengchi of Taiwan and was co-sponsored by the Department of Daesoon Theology at Daejin University and Graduate Institute of Religious Studies at National Chengchi University. It was simultaneously held both online (to join participants in Korea and Taiwan) and in-person in Korea and Taiwan. This academic forum included presentations and discussions by four professors from Korea and Taiwan and six doctoral researchers. This was followed by question and answer sessions and comprehensive discussions. Daejin University Professor Lee Gyungwon and National Chengchi University Professor Li Yuchen participated in the conference, while the discussion included professors, Park Yong-cheol, Chang Chia-Lin, Chai Wen-Lin, and Dr. Kim Tae-soo. The main papers released on this day were 'Understanding The Canonical Scripture of Daesoon Jinrihoe,' 'A Study on the Studies of New Religions in Korea,' 'The Origins of New Religions in East Asia- Focusing on Daesoon Jinrihoe, Tiandiism, and Tenrikyo.’

- The Intensive Care Unit at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Was Rated First Class in an Evaluation
On December 16th, Bundang Jesaeng Hospital was selected as a first-class nursing institution for its intensive care unit in an evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service. The evaluation was conducted based on multiple indicators such as the per-patient number of intensive care units, specialists, and nurses, whether or not specialized equipment and facilities are available in the intensive care unit, adherence to the intensive care protocol requirements, and the 48 hour intensive care unit re-entry rate.

- Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Dental Center Held “SsokSsok Extraction Training”
SS Clinical Dental Training Institute held the 4th “SsokSsok (‘quick n’ easy’) Extraction Training” on the afternoon of the 19th at the Dental Center of Daejin Medical Foundation Bundang Jesaeng Hospital in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. In 2019, SsokSsok Extraction Training was held three times on the theme of ‘Solving Complications and Problems Associated with Dental Treatment,’ but earlier this year, it was not possible to hold training sessions due to COVID-19. Just recently though, the institute’s dental education program was finally allowed to proceed in scheduling a training session.

- Daesoon Jinrihoe's Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex Donated 100 Million Won to Help out Neighbors in Dongducheon City
On the 23rd, representatives from Daesoon Jinrihoe's Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex visited Dongducheon City Hall and delivered a donation of 100 million won. Chairman Yoon Eun-Do remarked, “I hope this donation will comfort those who are facing hardships due to COVID-19. We will continue to take the initiative and act as leaders in sharing with our local community.”

- Daejin University Professors Han Manso and Jang Jongsoo Developed Virus-Resistant Masks Effective Against COVID-19
Professor Han Manso and Jang Jongsoo of the Department of Biochemistry at Daejin University verified the antibacterial effects of quantum energy and applied this technology to fiber when successfully developing the world's first antibacterial and antiviral mask made using natural mineral-based materials. The basis for the antibacterial and antiviral effects of quantum energy developed this time is a well-researched biometric energy technology. The result of applying this technology to respirator masks is an over-100 times greater killing effect of various viruses compared to the control group. The masks were shown to kill all E. Coli or positive Staphylococcus aureus within 1 hour.
