Daejin University Won Multiple University Student Competition Awards Including the Top Prize at the Global Management Conference Summer Conference
Daejin University's students were honored with an award for excellence and an award for outstanding achievement in the field of university student competition at the 2020 Global Management Conference Summer Conference held at Hyeongnam Memorial Engineering Building in Soongsil University on Saturday, June 27th. On this day, students from Daejin University received the Grand Prize for their presentation on Rosebud Dessert Cafe in recognition for their excellence in analyzing a sample of innovative management cases from various global companies.

Daejin University Professor, Kim Jeong-Wan, Received the Grand Prize in the Social Sciences Category at the Jiang Yingshi International Science and Culture Award Ceremony
Daejin University Professor Kim Jeong-wan (Administrative Informatics) received the Grand Prize in the Social Science Category at the 22nd Jiang Yingshi International Science and Culture Awards. As a specialist in social sciences, his highly-regarded academic achievements and active community service earned him his award. Professor Kim has published a number of research papers in international academic journals that critically appraise the current state of cross-regional income generation and related factors and offer potential alternatives.

Daejin University Inaugurated Im Yeongmun as Its Ninth President
On July 1st, Im Yeongmun, former head of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park, became the 9th president of Daejin University. In his inaugural address, the newly-appointed president, Im, emphasized “Our next step will be continued expansion of our university’s development funds, attracting more investment in our medical school, restructuring our departments to be more future-oriented, the activation of cooperative projects between academia and industry, and a more unified faculty.” After receiving his Bachelors and Masters of Sciences from Yonsei University, Im Yeongmun received a Ph.D. in engineering from Texas State University. Since then, Im has served as a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Gangneung-Wonju National University, as the Director of Information and Computer Engineering, and as the Director of the Industrial Cooperation Division. In 2014, he was appointed president of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park.

Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Was Awarded 1st Class Standing in Adequacy Assessment of Lung Cancer and Other Ailments from a Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service
It was announced in June that Bundang Jesaeng Hospital had been recognized by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service as 1st class in lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and anesthesia adequacy assessments. This evaluation was conducted on patients who underwent surgery and treatment at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital back in 2018.
