- Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex Held a Rice Planting Event for Clergy
Upper level clergy members began planting rice at 7:00 AM on June 6th at Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. The number of upper level clergy members who participated in this event was limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. They planted rice in a traditional way while wearing masks.

- Introduction of Daesoon Jinrihoe at the French Faculty Conference
On February 24th, Daesoon Jinrihoe was introduced at an online conference held at the École Moderne des Sciences Humaines (Modern School of Human Sciences) in Bordeaux, France. The scholar who hosted this conference and introduced Daesoon Jinrihoe was Professor Bernadette Rigal-Cellard, an overseas editor of the Journal of Daesoon Thought and the Religions of East Asia, the international edition of the Journal of the Daesoon Academy of Sciences. Professor Bernadette introduced Daesoon Jinrihoe as a future-oriented religion that will promote the revival of global spirituality based on her experience visiting Daesoon Jinrihoe's Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. Her presentation focused on the scale of Daesoon Jinrihoe in terms of its number of devotees, its role and importance in Korea’s religious landscape, and the education and social welfare projects currently implemented by Daesoon Jinrihoe. She also made some remarks about the ways in which the doctrines of Daesoon Jinrihoe creatively revitalize Korean traditions and Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism.

- A Teacher at Daejin Electronic Communication High School Received the Prime Minister's Award
Two teachers from Daejin Electronic Communication High School, Choe Hae-gi and Park Jeong-geun, received the Prime Minister’s Award and the Education Minister’s Award, respectively. Choe Hae-gi received the Prime Minister's Award in the Vocational Career Sector in recognition of his achievements in maintaining an excellent academic system through nurturing professionals based on personality, employment guidance adapted to specialized high schools, and offering career guidance utilizing Prediger Assessments. Park Jeong-geun received the Education Minister’s Award in the Life Guidance Sector in recognition of making school enjoyable for students through character-cultivation with an emphasis on life guidance, revitalizing school sports clubs, and enacting the Three Abstinences Movement (abstaining from violence, smoking, and cutting classes).

- The Birthplace of Sangje has been Designated as a Local Cultural Heritage Site in Jeongeup City
On May 14, the city of Jeongeup designated the birthplace of Sangje (436, Sinwol-ri, Deokcheon-myeon, Jeongeup-si) as local cultural heritage number 22 in Jeongeup City. This designation was formally announced to the public. Designation as a local cultural heritage site refers to both tangible and intangible sources of cultural heritage at either the city or county level. The birthplace of Sangje will be called the 'Birthplace of Jeungsan, Kang Il-Sun.' The site was recognized as a cultural heritage site after the consideration of evaluations by scholars which noted the historical and cultural significance of Holy Teacher Kang Jeungsan. The official approval of this site (which was not clearly defined previously) is greatly significant because it creates opportunities for Daesoon Jinrihoe, a religion with faith in Sangje and basis in Daesoon Thought, to become socially recognized and more widely known.

- Journal of Daesoon Academy of Sciences Is Carried by the Library of National Chengchi University, a Prestigious University in Taiwan
Journal of Daesoon Academy of Sciences, published by Daesoon Academy of Sciences, was registered and displayed in the Korean Journal Section of the Periodicals Office at the Central Library of National Chengchi University in Taiwan. A Taiwan-based chapter of Daesoon Academy of Sciences was founded at the Center for the Study of Chinese Religions at National Chengchi University in 2019. A representative of Daesoon Academy of Sciences commented, “Journal of the Daesoon Academy of Sciences, which can be freely read by professors and students, includes not only Korean papers but also Chinese papers submitted by Taiwanese and Chinese scholars.”
