- Daejin University’s ‘Briquettes of Love Drop-off Deliveries’
Daejin University held an event called, 'Briquettes of Love Drop-off Deliveries’ for the underprivileged in Pocheon City on November 24th. This event, wherein 23 Daejin University faculty and staff members participated, was recommended by the Pocheon City Comprehensive Support Center. The volunteers delivered a total of 3,000 briquettes, 600 per household, to 5 households in Idong-myeon, Pocheon. Director Kim Gi-deok of the Office of Administrative Support said, “I am grateful to the faculty and staff of Daejin University who participate in volunteer work for the local community and the underprivileged.”

- Daejin University Donated 3,600 COVID-19 Test Kits to Vietnam
President of Daejin University, Leem Youngmoon, delivered 3,600 COVID-19 self-diagnosis kits to the Vietnamese Embassy on December 30th. President Leem said, "Recently, a Daejin University student was able to quickly confirm that he was positive for COVID-19 after using one of these self-diagnosis kits." The Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea, Nguyen Vu Tung, said, "Thank you for donating 3,600 COVID-19 self-diagnosis kits to Vietnam."

- Daejin University’s Job Center Operated a ‘Visiting Youth Policy Counseling Center’
Daejin University’s Job Center operated a ‘Visiting Youth Policy Counseling Center’ from November 3rd to 4th in the lobby of the student center on campus to actively promote youth employment policies to current students and local youths. At this event, policy-related programs operated by the University Job Center of Daejin University were intensively promoted alongside youth employment policies operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor such as the National Employment Support System, the National Tomorrow Learning Card, the Youth Tomorrow Chaeum Deduction, the main policies of the Youth Digital Job Project. In addition, the Visiting Youth Policy Counseling Center received a great response by providing support to current students to help them receive practical help in their job search activities through personalized counseling.

- Daesoon Academy of Sciences Co-hosted an Online International Academic Conference with Xiamen University
On October 30th, the ‘2021 Daoism and Traditional Culture’ international academic conference was held online. The conference was co-hosted by Daesoon Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Daoism and Traditional Culture, Xiamen University, China. This academic conference was the first international academic conference held by Daesoon Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Daoism and Traditional Culture of Xiamen University in China since the 9th of October, when the two entities entered into an academic exchange agreement. The academic conference consisted of presentations and discussions by 8 individuals including professors and doctoral students from Korea, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. They were joined by about 60 audience members who participated online to exchange in in-depth discussions on Daesoon Thought and traditional Chinese Daoist culture. One presentation related to Daesoon Thought made on that day was “The Concept of Healing in Daesoon Jinrihoe” presented by Professor Chung Yun-Ying of Yuan Ze University, Taiwan.

- Daejin University Graduate School of Public Policy and Management Program Donated 10 Negative Pressure Medical Devices to Promote the Medical School
On November 5th, a medical device donation ceremony was held in the international seminar room on the 2nd floor of Daejin University's main building. University President Lim Young-moon, Alumni President of the whole CEO Programs, Im Sang-cheol, and Chairman of the 41st CEO Program Course, Seo Kwang-soo, all participated in the ceremony. Seo Gwang-soo, Chairman of the 41st CEO Program Course at the Graduate School of Public Policy, who runs a manufacturer of negative pressure medical devices, joined the members of the Wonwoo Association to make a joint donation of 10 sets of negative pressure devices (a 60 million-won value). The negative pressure devices, which are scheduled to be delivered to Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, are devices that prevent contamination between rooms during patient isolation in the hospital. As such these are important pieces of equipment for maintaining a clean air environment in hospital rooms.
