- Daejin University Job Center Held the ‘2018 Overseas Job Fair’
In order to enhance overseas employment opportunities and improve the professional skills and capabilities of young people, the ‘2018 Overseas Job Fair Outreach’ was hosted by Human Resources Development Service of Korea and was held at Daejin University Job Center on March 12, 2018. The lecturer of the day, Jeong Ju Yeong, from Overseas Employment Division of Human Resources Development Service of Korea emphasized the importance of having a definite sense of purpose and setting up both short and long term plans before preparing for overseas employment because if this is not done, employees might quit their jobs early and then face career discontinuity when they return to Korea. Also, Tony Smith, the director of Carrot Global Center, gave a special lecture on how to write English resumes that satisfy the standards held by actual human resource directors. The head of Daejin University Job Center, Lim Seong Wuk, who planned this event, said “It is important to provide practical plans such as strategies to improve the competence of job-seekers which aid them in successful job acquisition. For this purpose, I will keep providing local young people with various programs centered around overseas employment.”

- A Chinese Integrated Education Institution Visited Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation
On March 22, 2018, a team of six people from a Chinese Integrated Education Institution led by Zhang Xue Yuan (former manager at Chinese Higher Education Center) visited Daejin Welfare Foundation and had a meeting with chairman Yun Eun Do to explore cooperation on the ‘International Welfare Elderly Center Building Project’ in Suzhou, China. The research team revealed its plan to build a center to promote geriatric health on a 79,000-yard plot of land in Suzhou according to a Chinese government project. The construction is set to be carried out with support from the Chinese government, Gonshan Farming and Commerce Bank, National Development Bank, and Suzhou Administration Department. The team said that they would like to learn the advanced system used by Daejin Welfare Foundation. The team leader Zhang Xue Yuan said “This project will be the first model of an international elderly center and it is a public work that is supported by Chinese government.” Later, he added, “Considering its importance, I would like to take the technology and systems used by Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation as a benchmark in order to make this project a success.” Then, chairman Yun Eun Do delivered his intention of cooperation by saying “In this aging society, expand welfare facilities and protect the elders from being left in uncomfortable situations is one of the most important public works carried out by Daesoon Jinrihoe. Therefore, we will not spare any support where cooperation is possible.” The research team left for China on March 26 after asking Chairman Yun to give an opening address at their project council meeting, ‘International Welfare Elderly Center in Suzhou, China,’ which will be held on April 27, 2018. The meeting will be attended by about 30 people consisting of professionals and scholars from Chinese Social Welfare Fund Association, Korean Daejin Welfare Foundation, Chinese Academy of Machinery Process Technology, Taiwanese Shingeumu Corporation, Suzhou Government, Chinese Lenovo Corporation, Chinese Hwasa Happiness Co. Ltd., Haecheon Province International Education Technology Development (Beijing) and Co. Ltd., the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

- Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Formed an Agreement with the Academy of Korean Studies
Director Choi Byeong Guk of Bundang Jesaeng Hospital and Director Ahn Byeong Wook of the Academy of Korean Studies signed a “Business Agreement for Medical Support.” Through this agreement, the employees of Academy of Korean Studies and their family members can receive a higher level of medical service at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital. Director Ahn said “I am happy to cooperate with Bundang Jesaeng Hospital here in our local society. I believe our executives and employees will greatly benefit from their health care as the hospital specializes in heart surgery and has technically advanced centers such as a cerebral infarction center and a digestive system center. On the day the agreement was finalized, the ceremony was attended by Administrative Manager Park Jun and Secretary-General Moon Hyeong Seob from the Academy of Korean Studies. The academy was established in 1978 as a public incorporated foundation affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The academy is engaged in Korean studies, research to develop and distribute contents related to Korean studies, and the digitization of academic information on Korean studies.

- Toseong Training Temple Complex Participated in the National Land Cleaning Movement to Welcome the Coming of Spring
At Toseong Training Temple Complex, 65 individuals consisting of employees and guards were gathered to clean the streets around the temple complex. They cleaned up all the trash that had piled along the roadsides from the front of temple complex to Toseong Public Stadium, and collected 2.5 tons of plastic bags and garbage that had been blown by the wind into nearby fields. The Mayor of Toseong-myeon expressed thanks to volunteer cleaners from Daesoon Jinrihoe remarking “I am always grateful for what they do for our regional development.” Also, the farm owners in the location said “We had not been able to collect all the plastic bags because we didn’t have enough manpower, and I am so grateful that the people of Daesoon Jinrihoe did this for us.”

- Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park Opened IT Human Resources Development Academy in Nepal
On March 31, 2018, Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park opened the “Bright Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Academy” in Nepal, which will support education and oversea employment for young workers in Nepal. This is an international cooperative project that is jointly carried forward by Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park and Bright Future Secondary School of Nepal. The academy will provide students with specialized education in the field of Information Technology (IT) and support them in finding job placement in IT businesses overseas in countries such as Korea and Japan. In addition, taking this project as the first step, the Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park plans to implement a variety of further international collaborative projects in Nepal. The director of Gyeonggi Daejin Techno Park, Yim Yeong Mun, said “We were asked by Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun and the former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar of Nepal that Daejin Techno Park take charge of the operation of the academy and also play a key role in businesses related to furniture and the environment.” Gyeonggi Daejin Techo Park is a local public institution that was funded through a joint investment between Gyeonggi-do and Pochen-si and was established in 2005 to promote knowledge-based high-tech businesses in Northern Gyeonggi Province.
