- Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex Delivered Rice to Help Neighbors in Gangcheon-myeon
On September 6th, Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex delivered 100 20kg-bags of white rice (a value of 8 million won) to the Gangcheon-myeon Community Center to celebrate Chuseok, Mid-Autumn Festival. The white rice will be transferred to the elderly living alone and low-income households throughout the district. Kim Ju-nam, head of Gangcheon-myeon, said, “I am grateful for the sincerity of Daesoon Jinrihoe, whose deliveries warm so many hearts each holiday season.”

- The New Building of Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Is Set to be Completed by the End of Next Year
Daejin Medical Foundation held a prayer for safety for the new building which began its construction on September 14th. The new building of Bundang Jesaeng Hospital is a 4-story building with a construction area of 5,302 m2. The first floor will be used as a parking lot, the second floor as an endoscopy center, the third floor as a general examination center, and the fourth floor as a nursing care service ward. The target for completion of the new building has been set for December of 2022.

- Daejin University Was Selected as a ‘University for Financial Support’ by the Ministry of Education for the 3rd Consecutive Time
Daejin University was selected as a 'university eligible for general financial support' in the final evaluation of '2021’s University Basic Competence Assessment' conducted by the Ministry of Education. Daejin University passed as a university eligible for general financial support in this evaluation and will receive support for general and special purpose finances, national scholarships, and student loans from the Ministry of Education for a three-year period from 2022 to 2024.

- On Social Welfare Day, 3 Awards Were Received by Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation
In commemoration of Social Welfare Day (celebrated annually since 1999), held in Yeoju from September 1st to 3rd, certificates of merit were awarded to those who contributed to the improvement of the welfare of Yeoju citizens and the development of social welfare. On this day, Jang Bun-ok and Park Gi-sun, from Daejin Geriatric Care Facilities, received the Yeoju City Council Chairman's Award, and Jin In-suk, from Daejin Welfare Center for Seniors, received the Yeoju City Social Welfare Council President's Award.

- Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture Held the 12th East Asia Humanities Research Conference
The East Asia Humanities Forum 2021, co-hosted by Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture and Peking University's Institute for Religion and Culture, was held online from August 21st to 22nd. The theme of the 12th symposium was 'Eastern Culture and Rituals.' 19 scholars from Korea, China, and Japan presented their papers at the conference. Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture, Daesoon Jinrihoe Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex was represented by two participants, Vice Director Cha Seon-Keun and the researcher, Choi Chi-Bong. Their presentations were on ‘The Classification and Characteristics of Deliverance Rituals for Grudge-harboring Ghosts in Modern Korea’ and ‘Achieving Immortality in Daesoon Jinrihoe.’ The number of attendees increased over previous years due to the shift into an online format.
