- Daesoon Academy of Sciences Online Fall Conference 2020
Daesoon Academy of Sciences held the 2020 Fall Conference (online due to COVID-19) for 4 days from September 25th to 28th. The Fall Conference was hosted at the online conference hall of the academy's homepage and was attended by renowned professors and scholars in the academic world who were there to present, comment, inquire, and discuss. Through the course of the conference, a total of 8 academic papers were presented, commented upon, and discussed by 16 scholars. Time was also provided for further inquiry and discussions between the presenters and general scholars. The main papers presented included Daesoon Jinrihoe's Geumgangsan Toseong Training Temple Complex as Appraised from the Theoretical Perspective of Feng Shui and The Expanding Concept of Mutual Beneficence as Revealed through a Comparison between Daesoon Thought and the Daoist Thought of Laozi and Zhuangzi.

- The 12th Daesoon Literature Contest Award Ceremony Was Held Via Video
On October 9th 2020, the 12th Daesoon Literature Contest Awards Ceremony was held as a video conference. In his congratulatory remark, Tae-Yeol Lee, Director of the Religious Research & Edification Department, said, “Due to COVID-19, it was proposed that we not hold this event in person.” “If through Daesoon Literature you can convey your own experiences in a way that incorporates emotion and a strong will to practice, your writings will help spread Daesoon Truth.” After the remarks, the winners were announced and reviews from panelists were likewise provided. A total of 83 works were submitted for this competition: 48 in the prose category and 35 in the verse category. Geumneung 5-8 Branch Temple’s Senior Propagator Kim Manshik's My Grandmother won 1st place in the verse category and Wonpyeong 2-22 Branch Temple Senior Propagator Hong Songjeong's Long Dream won 1st place in the verse category.

- Daejin University Donates 100 Million Won to Fight COVID-19 in Jeongeup City
Daejin University, located in Pocheon City, Gyeonggi-do, visited Jeongeup City on the 7th and donated 100 million won to fight COVID-19. The President of Daesoon Jinrihoe, Yun Eun-do, said, "I hope this will mitigate disaster damage and provide low-income, vulnerable individuals with renewed hope in their own struggles against COVID-19 and its fallout."

- Dalseong and Yeongwol Branch Temples Share the Warmth of the Holiday
Dalseong Branch Temple donated 150 boxes of ramen to the community center in Daemyeong 1-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu City on September 16th to share with neighbors on Chuseok (mid autumn’s festival). As one practice of sharing, Dalseong Branch Temple continually donates to local community centers every year. Meanwhile, Yeongwol Branch Temple donated rice to underprivileged neighbors through 5 of the branch’s assembly halls. The assembly halls that participated in this donation were Seoul Sillim, Busan Geumsa, Deokpo, Jeonnam Dundeok, and Daegu Daehyun.

- Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex Donated Rice for Chuseok
On September 15th, Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex donated one hundred 20kg bags of Yeoju grown rice to the Gangcheon-myeon office in Yeoju. This delivery ceremony was not conducted face-to-face due to COVID-19. The Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex demonstrates its caring through continual sponsorship projects for the vulnerable every year on holidays, by supporting the vulnerable groups, and by carrying out welfare projects in the local community.
