- Bundang Jesaeng Hospital Gave New Hope to a Burmese Student through Cleft Palate Surgery
Bundang Jesaeng Hospital announced that the operation to repair the congenital cleft lip and cleft palate for a student from Myanmar, Shaleipyu (female/33), had been successfully completed through the help of the Midas Happiness Foundation. The patient was hospitalized on the 4th and was discharged on the 11th after undergoing plastic surgery to fix her cleft palate (inferior turbinate reduction and cleft septorhinoplasty). The medical team performing the surgery was led by plastic surgeon, Lee Jong-geon, and otolaryngologist, Ahn Sang-hyeon. Dr. Lee Jong-geon said, "I am pleased with the bright appearance of Shaleipyu, who we have heard is a hard-working student."

Bundang Jesaeng Hospital announced that it recruited Dr. Kim Jin, an authority on eye plastic surgery, and started treatment on May 2nd, 2022. Dr. Kim Jin, a plastic surgeon, has developed a way to solve the various birth problems of eye shapes in Korea and effectively correct the fatal side effects caused by eye plastic surgery, giving hope to countless people who have been frustrated by eye shapes.

- A Scholarship Issuance Ceremony Held by the Employee Scholarship Association of Daejin University for the Second Semester of 2021
The Employee Scholarship Association of Daejin University held a scholarship issuance ceremony for the 2nd Semester of 2021 at the International Seminar Room on the 2nd floor of the main building on January 18th. The Daejin University Employee Scholarship Association offered scholarships to students of good character and academic standing from lower-income families. During the second semester of 2021, 10.59 million won was donated by 120 employees for use as scholarships. Together with the existing scholarship funds, 1 million won was delivered to each of the 33 students respectively. The Daejin University Employee Scholarship Association was launched in March of 2013, and the accumulated amount of scholarship funds generated by the association has exceeded 400 million won to date, and scholarships have been awarded to a total of 402 students.

- President of Daejin University, Leem Youngmoon, Donated 1,000 COVID-19 Self-diagnosis Kits to ParaSports Gyeonggi
On January 20th, from the guest room on the 2nd floor of the main building of Daejin University, the university’s president, Leem Youngmoon, donated diagnostic kits to aid in preventing the spread of COVID-19 at both the '19th National Winter Paralympic Games for the Disabled' and the '2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.’ Thereby, 1,000 diagnostic kits were delivered to GyeongGi-Do Sports Association for the Disabled, also known as ‘ParaSports Gyeonggi.’ On that day, President Leem Youngmoon said, “In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I hope that these kits will be used to quickly diagnose viral infections during the operation and activities held by Gyeonggi-do Sports Association for the Disabled. In that manner, the kits can enable the organizers to cope well with COVID-19. If there is a need for further cooperation from Daejin University or other related institutes, we will do our best to provide active support.”

- Jamsil Branch Temple Donated Rice to Help Their Neighbors on the Eve of Lunar New Year
On January 27th, Jamsil Branch Temple delivered two hundred 10 kilogram bags of rice to the community center in Muk 1-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul to celebrate the the Lunar New Year ushering in the Imin Year (2022). This day's event became an opportunity to spread the virtues of Sangje widely by conveying warmth to local residents who are struggling due to the impact of COVID-19.
