Daejin University Donates ‘Ramen of Love’
On October 1, Daejin University President Lee Myeonjae and other faculty members donated 3,040 packets of ramen to low-income and marginalized groups. Recipient centers included Pocheon Seondan-dong Community Center, Seondan Regional Children's Center, and Evergreen Regional Children's Center.

Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation Held the 2019 Bazaar
On October 15, Daeju Youth Training Center Square hosted the Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation. A bazaar was held there with a variety of exhibitions, activities, and food. The donations collected will be used for Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation's Welfare Fund to help the elderly and improve their living conditions.

A Visit from the Taiwan Association for Religious Studies to Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex
On October 23, the Taiwan Association for Religious Studies visited Daesoon Jinrihoe Headquarters around the time of a conference organized by the Taiwan Association for Religious Studies in Taiwan in November. The conference featured a session which introduced Daesoon Jinrihoe. The visiting group presented a total of five papers at their conference, and these papers were based on field research data collected at Daejin University and Daesoon Jinrihoe Welfare Foundation.

2019’s Workplace Awareness Training
On October 23, 'Workplace Awareness Training 2019' was held for employees at the Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. More than 120 employees participated in the training, which was focused on three aims: improving awareness of the disabled, protecting personal information, and preventing sexual harassment. Workplace awareness training is conducted annually at the temple complex.

The 11th Daesoon Literary Arts Contest
On October 16, the 11th Daesoon Literary Arts Contest award ceremony was held in the International Conference Room at Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. A total of 103 works were submitted to the contest. The Seonsa, Son Jae-sook, from the Chang'an branch submitted a piece of writing titled 'On Constitution and Personality' in the prose section, and a female Dao cohort, Kim Yangmi, entered a poem titled 'How is the Weather?' in the poetry section. Each received the highest award in their respective section.
